Pokémon 30th Anniversary Begins With Pokémon Presents Feb. 27

Pokémon is celebrating its 30th anniversary this year, and The Pokémon Company has announced that the celebration will start on Feb. 27 with a special Pokémon Presents presentation. With the celebration beginning in one week, the gates are about to open wide.

Pokémon is celebrating their 30th anniversary as a franchise in 2026. With that, The Pokémon Company has announced that a special Pokémon Presents will occur on Feb. 27 at 9 a.m. Eastern.

Though no further details were released, The Pokémon Company also revealed that the "Pokémon FireRed Version" and "Pokémon LeafGreen Version" games will release on Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2 immediately following the conclusion of the Feb. 27 Pokémon Presents.

The first Pokémon Presents presentation of 2026 for The Pokémon Company will premiere on Feb. 27 at 9 a.m. Eastern / 6 a.m. Pacific, that will help celebrate the 30th anniversary of the Pokémon franchise as a whole.
