After a multi-state and multi-month first leg of the "Descendants/Zombies Worlds Collide Tour," the "Descendants/Zombies Worlds Collide: Concert Special" and "The Live Album" have been released. "The Live Album" consists of 24 songs from across both franchises, with the "Concert Special" showing some of the live performances, along with taking a deep dive into much of the behind-the-scenes work that made the "Descendants/Zombies Worlds Collide Tour" come to life.

The 63-minute "Descendants/Zombies Worlds Collide: Concert Special" offers a deep insight into the behind-the-scenes thoughts of the stars of the tour, including many of the special guests that featured throughout the door. There were many special and emotional moments, including Meg Donnelly and Milo Manheim praising Freya Skye and Malachi Barton as the next generation of the "Z-O-M-B-I-E-S" franchise, Dara Reneé talking about what she sees as her embarrassing "Descendants The Rise of Red" audition tape, and Kylie Cantrall and Malia Baker talking about how their friendship started through filming for "Descendants The Rise of Red," and how it evolved ever since then, among many others.
The "Descendants/Zombies Worlds Collide: Concert Special" is a goosebumps-inducing ride down memory lane, as the next generation "Descendants" and "Z-O-M-B-I-E-S" actors and actresses carry the torch through the songs that defined their movies, as well as the songs that defined the earlier entries of the franchise. From Kylie Cantrall and Malia Baker singing "Descendants 2's" "Space Between," to Freya Skye and Malachi Barton singing the "Z-O-M-B-I-E-S" franchise anthem, and the only song that has appeared in some way in every "Z-O-M-B-I-E-S" movie to date, "Someday," to Dara Reneé pushing her voice like never before for her version of popular "Descendants 3" song "Queen of Mean."
The "Descendants/Zombies Worlds Collide: Concert Special" is a celebration of the "Descendants" and "Z-O-M-B-I-E-S" franchises, that have become powerhouses for Disney Branded Television, and The Walt Disney Company as a whole. It honors what came before, while acknowledging the present and even the future of where the franchise can go from here.
With a planned tour sequel in early development, there is more success to come, with the "Descendants/Zombies Worlds Collide: Concert Special" showing how the first tour is the major success that it ultimately ended up being.

Alongside the "Descendants/Zombies Worlds Collide: Concert Special" came the "Descendants/Zombies Worlds Collide Tour: The Live Album." The album included 24 total tracks, which include:

Each of the 24 tracks honors the original versions, while also offering something brand new. Freya Skye's accent during "Life Is Sweeter," "The Place to Be," and "Don't Mess with Us" elevated those performances. Meanwhile, the intertwining of Kylie Cantrall and Malia Baker's vocals during "Space Between" provides for 141 seconds of pure emotional goosebumps.
In addition, the songs that included the entire cast, including "Alien Invasion," "Legends in the Making," "Set It Off (Encore)," perfectly showcased the excellent chemistry that exists between the members of both casts. Though the "Concert Special" revealed that they rehearsed the entire show, including all the songs, within a six-week period, it is clear that both casts took that time very seriously, as the chemistry is on-point and is flowing through the vocals and musical notes of each and every song.
In short, the "Descendants/Zombies Worlds Collide Tour: The Live Album" is an exceptional extension of the actual tour, with an immersive ride through the best of both worlds, while creating something that uniquely belongs to the young actors and actresses who came together to create the tour as a whole, and make it something meaningful for fans for a long time to come.

In terms of what's next for the "Dsecendants" and "Z-O-M-B-I-E-S" franchises, Disney Television Group President Craig Erwich reaffirmed to The Hollywood Reporter that "Descendants Wicked Wonderland" will premiere this summer, with the next entry in the "Z-O-M-B-I-E-S" franchise being prepared for release in Summer 2027.
However, the big reveal from Erwich's interview with The Hollywood Reporter was the fact that he revealed that, not only is a new "Worlds Collide Tour" in the works, but that the tour will also include the stars from the upcoming "Camp Rock 3," which will also premiere this summer alongside "Descendants Wicked Wonderland."
Regarding the new "Worlds Collide Tour" with the "Camp Rock 3" cast included, Erwich said:
We’re going to do another tour that will also include "Camp Rock," which we’re really excited about because we have the next generation of Camp Rockers coming out this summer in our new "Camp Rock." These movies that combine music, they’re incredible way to discover new talent. And they are things the whole family can watch together, you know, is a very important part of our strategy.
With the "Descendants" and "Z-O-M-B-I-E-S" franchises very much in the plans for the forseeable future of Disney Television Group, including "Descendants Wicked Wonderland," "Z-O-M-B-I-E-S 5," and the current "Locker Diaries: Z-O-M-B-I-E-S" and the planned "Locker Diaries: Descendants" series, there is plenty more to come for the zombies, werewolves, VKs, and more that occupy the franchises of "Descendants" and "Z-O-M-B-I-E-S" that are beloved by fans all around the world.
