From Arendelle to Montana: Kristen Bell Will Play Amy Rose In 'Sonic The Hedgehog 4'

Kristen Bell will leave her duties as Queen of Arendelle to head out to Montana, as she will voice Amy Rose in "Sonic The Hedgehog 4." Premiering next spring, Bell will join an all-star cast, and a fun adventure, which may prove to have a romance element at the end of the day.

The Queen of Arendelle is becoming the love interest of the speediest blue hedgehog, as Kristen Bell will step into the world of "Sonic The Hedgehog," as she'll voice Amy Rose in the fourth film of the franchise, set to debut in theaters March 2027.


In an announcement post on Instagram, "Sonic The Hedgehog" himself Ben Schwartz stated:


WE HAVE OUR AMY ROSE!!! And I could not be more excited!!! Please welcome the incredible @kristenanniebell to the @sonicmovie family!!!

As mentioned, Bell has voiced popular Disney Princess Anna in the "Frozen" franchise and across other Disney properties, like the "Disney Infinity" video game series, the Disney 100th anniversary animated special "Once Upon a Studio," and the popular video game "Kingdom Hearts III." In addition, she has voiced Priscilla in "Zootopia" and "Zootopia+," played Mrs. Claus in "Violent Night 2" and Joanne Williams in "Nobody Wants This," among other roles.


In regards to "Sonic The Hedgehog 4," Jeff Fowler will return to direct, with Schwartz returning to playing the title character. In addition, it is expected that Idris Elba (Knuckles) and Colleen O'Shaughnessey (Tails) will return. The film will release March 19, 2027.
