'Descendants: Wicked Wonderland' Official Teaser Released, July 16 Premiere Date Set

Disney has officially released the teaser trailer for "Descendants: Wicked Wonderland," the fifth chapter in the "Descendants" franchise, with a July 16 Disney Channel premiere date announced, along with the film premiering on Disney Plus on July 17.

Disney themselves described the teaser perfectly in the YouTube video description by saying:

In this first look, Red and Chloe hide their most dangerous secret - the time-traveling pocket watch - inside the Royal Vault, unaware that a new threat is emerging. Lurking in the shadows is Maddox Hatter, now a ruthless villain determined to uncover the pocket watch’s whereabouts to bend time - and the fate of Wonderland - to his will.

Kylie Cantrall and Malia Baker return as Red and Chloe, respectively. In addition, Leonardo Nam (Maddox Hatter), Melanie Paxson (Fairy Godmother), Brandy (Cinderella), Paolo Montalban (King Charming) and Rita Ora (the Queen of Hearts) also reprise their roles from 2024's "Descendants: The Rise of Red."

Liamani Segura (Pink), who will also star in "Camp Rock 3" later this year, leads the new additions to the cast, which also include Alexandro Byrd (Luis Madrigal), Brendon Tremblay (Max Hatter), Kiara Romero (Hazel Hook), Joel Oulette (Robbie Hood), Zavien Garret (Felix Facilier), Ryan McEwen (Squirmy Smee) and Dayton Paradis (Squeaky Smee).

In addition, Disney has announced that Awkwafina (Chessy the Cat) will also join the cast.

The official "Descendants: Wicked Wonderland" film logline reads:

Now that the Queen of Hearts is nice and Cinderella is safe, things seem perfect for Red and Chloe, but little do they know that changing the past created a new villain: Maddox Hatter. When Maddox captures the Queen of Hearts, Red and Chloe must work with Red’s new sister Pink, Luisa Madrigal’s son Luis, Captain Hook’s daughter Hazel, and Maddox’s son Max to save her and Wonderland.

"Descendants: Wicked Wonderland" releases on Disney Channel July 16 and Disney Plus July 17.
