Ariana Grande has announced Petal, her eighth studio album, will release on July 31. In a previously-released social media video from earlier this month, Grande described the album as “something that is full of life and growing through the cracks of something cold and hard and challenging.” At the time of writing, there is no word regarding if any singles will release ahead of the full album release on July 31.
The announcement of Petal comes off the heels of last month's 'Eternal Sunshine' album anniversary, with Grande going on the "Eternal Sunshine Tour" beginning on June 6. The tour will be her first post-pandemic tour, and her first time touring since her star-studded run in the Wicked and Wicked For Good films.
Regarding Grande's previous musical works, this includes her seven previous studio albums; 2013's Yours Truly, 2014's My Everything (Deluxe), 2016's Dangerous Woman, 2018's Sweetener, 2019's thank you, next, 2020's Positions, and 2024's Eternal Sunshine. This also includes her dozens of single and EP releases, including but not limited to; 2011's Put Your Hearts Up, 2014's Bang Bang, 2020's Stuck with U, among many others.
Regarding Grande's ventures outside of music, she will star as Olivia Jones in the upcoming film Flocker-in-Law, in a to-be-determined role in Season 13 of American Horror Story, and as Dot in the 2027 theater production of Sunday in the Park with George that is happening at the Barbican Theatre in London, England.
