WWE Saturday Night's Main Event 5.23.26 Full Match Card Predictions

(Visit Fort Wayne)
(Visit Fort Wayne)

Saturday Night's Main Event has arrived. The WWE event makes its way to Allen County War Memorial Coliseum in Fort Wayne, Indiana for the first time ever, with a loaded match card on deck for the event. With three championships on the line this evening in Fort Wayne, along with two other exciting matches featuring eight incredible members of the WWE Women's Division, this edition of Saturday's Night Main Event is gearing up to being one to remember.

With that in mind, the time has come to go through the entire match card and predict where I believe things are going to ultimately go. Let's get right to it.

Becky Lynch vs Sol Ruca

(WWE)
(WWE)

My most anticipated match on the entire SNME match card is the match between current Women's Intercontinental Champion Becky Lynch and Sol Ruca, one of the newest members of the Monday Night Raw roster.

Sol Ruca is easily my favorite of the post-Wrestlemania NXT call-ups. Her character is one of the most fun and rad characters of recent memory in the WWE. At least in my view, she's a truly unique presence that I'm not sure can ever be replicated when her time eventually comes to retire. It becomes ever the more evident with how she's been handled on the main roster up until this point. Ruca's immediate feud with Becky Lynch was an excellent choice by WWE and TKO that is looking to all come together in their first PLE match. There's a great argument to be made about Sol riding the tidal waves right through to victory.

With that being said, Becky Lynch is riding into this match with the momentum in her corner. In her first title defense since winning back the Women's Intercontinental Championship from AJ Lee at WrestleMania 42 in Las Vegas, Becky is looking to cement herself, as she puts it, as the greatest women's wrestler of all-time. Prolonging her record of most combined days as Women's Intercontinental Championship would certainly go a long way in cementing that assertion as fact in the eyes of fans around the world.

Ultimately, my pick will be Sol Ruca to get the nod over the current Women's Intercontinental Champion, which will perhaps earn Sol a title shot in the near future, perhaps at Clash in Italy on May 31, or possibly at Night of Champions on June 27. Reagrdless, Sol getting the victory with a Sol Snatcher on Becky will be a great treat that I hope I will get to witness later on tonight.

The Vision vs The Street Profits (Men's World Tag Team Championship Match)

(WWE)
(WWE)

Following a victory against the Usos in a March 30 street fight to capture their Men's World Tag Team Championship reign, Austin Theory and Logan Paul of The Vision are looking to defend their gold against Angelo Dawkins and Montez Ford, the two men that make up The Street Profits.

On the one hand, whether fans like it or not, The Vision has a ton of momentum on their side. With major victories in recent weeks for the faction as a whole, including Bron Breakker successfully defeating Seth Rollins at Backlash back on May 9. There seems to be a strong case to be made for The Vision to retain their titles later on this evening.

On the other hand, however, we have The Street Profits, who recently returned to assist recent main roster call-up Joe Hendry against The Vision, with Ford, Dawkins, and Hendry winning in a 6-man tag match against them back on the May 11 edition of Monday Night Raw, which is what led to The Street Profits earning this shot at the men's tag team gold this evening. As a result of all of this, they too have a ton of momentum that could very well be swayed in their favor.

Ultimately, I predict that The Street Profits will become the new Men's World Tag Team Champions, with some assistance from Seth Rollins himself, which will lead to Seth Rollins clashing with someone from The Vision once more at Clash in Italy or some future PLE in the not so distant future.

Rhea Ripley, Charlotte Flair and Alexa Bliss vs. Jade Cargill, Michin and B-Fab

(WWE)
(WWE)

With the announcement on last night's edition of SmackDown that Rhea Ripley will have a WrestleMania 42 rematch against Jade Cargill at Clash in Italy on May 31 for the WWE Women's Championship, this six-woman tag team match between Ripley, Charlotte Flair, and Alexa Bliss vs Cargill, Michin, and B-Fab could very well be a preview of which side will ultimately win in the title match in Italy in eight days.

To keep this one straight to the point, Ripley, who is the current WWE Women's Champion, has only been champion for twenty-four days and counting. If Cargill were to win at Clash in Italy, Ripley's second reign would be among one of the shortest reigns in the history of the belt, so I'm finding it very hard to believe that Ripley loses in Italy, so it is my firm belief that Ripley, Flair, and Bliss will pick up the victory, to help set the tone for what's going to be an epic showdown for the top Women's belt on SmackDown in Italy in just eight days.

With all of this being said, however, I would not entirely be surprised if WWE/TKO go the revenge route, and have Cargill's team pick up the win tonight, to swing the momentum in her favor ahead of Clash in Italy. Though we have not seen the revenge game win, with all post-WrestleMania belt holders who faced their opponets from WrestleMania winning their respective rematches thus far, it's not impossible to see it happen. It's just not what I think will ultimately happen, but you never know with this era of WWE under TKO.

Penta vs. Ethan Page (Men's Intercontinental Championship Match)

(WWE)
(WWE)

There's an interesting edge to this match in my view that I think could put on the same legs as Trick Williams vs Sami Zayn at WrestleMania 42. What I mean by that is the fact that they very easily could have the new hotshot NXT call-up, in Ethan Page, get the victory over the established veteran, in Penta, in what has the chance to be one of the best matches of the entire match card tonight.

However, I believe Penta will retain the title tonight. Despite the fact that, to the credit of WWE, they've been seriously pushing Page and showing what makes his character stand out during his main roster run thus far, I don't think they've positioned him well enough where a title run this early on makes sense for him. I think a more properly fleshed out feud with Rusev, who may very well be the next guy in line to take a crack at Penta's title, and having that then eventually result in a belt for Page would be the wiser route to go down at this time. Who knows, though, maybe I'll be shocked and Ethan upsets Penta, but I don't think this is going to be the night for it to happen.

Brie Bella and Paige vs The Irresistible Forces (Women's Tag Team Championship Match)

(WWE)
(WWE)

Like with the six-woman tag team match, his is another match that I believe is relatively straight-forward.

Brie Bella and Paige will retain against The Irresistible Forces tonight. The reason is pretty straight-forward as well. I currently hold belief in the theory that Brie and Paige will retain until Brie's sister Nikki Bella is cleared to return from her legitimate injury that forced her to miss WrestleMania 42, at which point The Bella Twins will betray Paige, taking the titles for themselves, which makes Paige go back to an old friend in AJ Lee (my favorite WWE wrestler of all-time) for one final run together as they go after and chase The Bella Twins for tag team gold. I might be underestimating The Irresistible Forces in tonight's matchup, but Brie Bella and Paige are both returning legends, with Brie making a surprise return to WWE at the 2026 Women's Royal Rumble, with Paige making her surprise return to the company at WrestleMania 42 to be Nikki's replacement on Brie's team for the Women's Tag Team Championship match. It seems incredibly unlikely that they would have them lose the titles this soon after WrestleMania, on a show that many WWE fans don't even consider to be a PLE in the first place.

While WWE under TKO has made some surprising moves in the past, but I don't see them pulling this much of a surprise on us. However, they haven't really booked The Irresistible Forces as of late, and their last booking during last night's episode of SmackDown resulted in a loss for Lash Legend in a Women's United States Championship Match against current champion Tiffany Stratton, and a failed interference attempt by Nia Jax which ended up working against her partner as mentioned. If Lash and Nia were set to win tonight, I have a hard time believing that this would be the manner in which they would book if they weren't destined to lose.
